I am in Eugene!!

So I got transferred to EUGENE!!! I am actually just outside of Eugene in Santa Clara, Harrisburg and Junction City. We live in an apt in Eugene. My comp is Sister Stoehr!!!!! I love her so much!! We were in the same district in the MTC! I can't believe how much greener it is here than in Central Point. It is a whole other world in Eugene. Oh man this week was a blast. First off I didn't even know where I was going until Tuesday night, and even then, we weren't totally positive. I rode on the transfer van with 9 other missionaries. I got to sit up front and talk with Elder Jestes from Mesa. He went to Mountain View. It was refreshing to finally talk to someone that knows about Mesa. We had about a 3 hour drive North. We got to the transfer spot and waited until both Sister Smiths and I's comps came and got us. I had to use the restroom, so when I came out.... I saw Sister Holly Losee!!!! Oh my gosh it was so good to see her. The elders thought we were crazy cause we ran down the hall and hugged each other. I love seeing familiar faces. I feel like I am on vacation with her and Sister Stoehr (it is pronounced Steer)!! I love it here.
Eugene is much cooler. It has already rained since I have been here. I went from the hottest part of the mission to the rain. Everyone says that it won't be long before I won't see the sun for 9 months.... I am alright with that. There are some pretty interesting people here. Not as conservative as the south, but I love it. Harrisburg reaks like moldy broccoli, no lie... it is pretty disgusting. Eugene has moss all over the place, trees, buildings, roofs, sidewalk... all over the place!! It feels so good to be in a new area and we have worked so hard this week and it payed off!!
Before I got here, the sisters met Stephanie at church. She is dating a member and wanted to learn more. she grew up baptist and took an interest in what her boyfriend believe. We had a lesson this week and the spirit was so strong. Stephanie told us that she went to the temple grounds one time and it just felt so right and good. She also said that the things that we talked about all sounded familiar to her... say what?? That was so cool to hear her say that. She had already read 30 pages in the book of Mormon and is really wanting this in her life. We had a wonderful lesson and we invited her to be baptized on the 18th.... the spirit is amazing. I was talking with her and before i knew it, I was inviting her to be baptized. The words just came out so clear and she understood. It was great!! Everyone in the lesson had tears in there eyes and Stephanie accepted. Wow. It was awesome!! i love being a missionary!
The sisters had been meeting with a less active woman, Jewel. We went to see here the day I got here in Eugene and she told us that her boyfriend, Eric wanted to take the discussions. We were floored.... We had to get to our dinner apt so we told them we would be back. We came back and taught about the Restoration. Eric is really grasping these principles and trying to understand these things. He sees that they have made a difference in Jewels life and he wants that for himself. We had another leson with him last night. We taught the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Eric loved learning about Repentance and Baptism. He is looking for more in his life and is trying to find out what is missing. He told us that he wanted to be baptized eventually. We know that he will be ready soon!!! Ahh it is great!
The sisters met Vince back in July, but they forgot to go back to him.... sad!! That is not supposed to happen. Well we went to visit him this week. He lives with his less active grandparents. He is 20 and is interested in learning about the church. We taught the Restoration and have another appointment with him tomorrow. We aren't sure if he is doing it cause 2 girls are teaching him... we will be passing him over to the Elders to teach if he seems more interested in the church. haha funny people I tell ya...oh yeah that reminds me. On tuesday, the day before I left, we talked with Julia and Robbie. They are teenagers and told us that there mom passed away and they wanted to see her again, we taught the Plan of Salvation. Well they were kinda in lala land and didn't really pay attention, but we told them to give us a call when they wanted to learn more. Robbie asked Sister Longhurst if he could have my number... gross. I am glad that I am not in that area anymore... funny!
Alright so here is another cool thing that happened. The sisters serving in Sweet Home called and said they talked to a man, Brad, and they gave us his phone number. We called him up and had an appointment with him last night. He and his wife, Jackie, were very interested and I love them so much already!! They are the kind of people that just click with things and they want to know and they are just great!! We talked a lot about the Restoration. Jackie then asked us what sealed was. We had a great talk about the temple and things went so good. We are going back this week! They also have a 6 year old daughter, Gracie, who is a doll!! I love meeting people like that!!
Miracles after miracles. I read a talk and we should be expecting miracles. When we are obedient, the Lord sees and he blesses us. I love these experiences. My testimony has been strengthened x's 19034759466584306767. With the help of the Lord, we can see those miracles. IT IS AMAZING!!
So things are happening here in Eugene... I love the area!!! I am so happy to serve here with Sister Stoehr, she is from Greenbay, Wisconsin! We have lots of fun... aka like last night we went into the bathroom and this mongo spider was crawling towards us, so what did we do?? Scream and jump on our beds. . we went back and forth about who would kill it. We threw shoes and toys at it, but it was huge and would run the other way. I finally got enough courage to climb up on the counter and kill the huge nasty spider... There are so many spiders here, it is nuts!!
Anyways, hopefully the suspense wasn't too bad. I love you all!! I hope you have a fantastic week!!! You are all in my prayers :) Be happy and share the gospel!! Member missionaries are the best way to do missionary work!! Welp I love you all!!! Talk to you in a week!!!

Love Sister Glasgow!! XOXOXO

Aubrey is getting trasferred!

This just in... Sister Glasgow is getting transferred.... but no one knows where she is going!!!!
Yep, it is true, I am leaving Central Point. I am really bummed to leave. This area has been amazing and i am going to miss all the wonderful people and the fun times that I have had!! It served me well to be here for 4 months! It is time to go though.
On Tuesday we had zone conference. President came up to all the sisters after wards and said, pointing to Sister Smith "You are getting transferred!" We were all so sad, but then he proceeded to say, "but don't worry, you won't be the only one going up on the van....... (pointing to me) Sister Glasgow will be going as well!" I was shocked. I am pretty sure my jaw dropped to the floor! But it is interesting... the moment president said that, I felt peace and I knew that I needed to go to my new area. I leave on Wednesday morning at 10am. The new sister is coming on Tuesday night at 7pm. I have been packing and trying to get things all in order before I leave. I am glad that I am not too attracted to this place, cause it would be much harder to leave. I haven't even cried-- yet :)!!
So I will let you know where I get send to next week, along with all the info about my new comp, area and wards, cause right now I have no clue. I just know that it will be wonderful!!
Zone Conference was amazing!! I swear President is so dead on when he speaks. He has the gift on discernment and knows what we all need to hear. This is something that I have been praying for, it is slowly coming. Side note-- last night we had dinner at the Alfords house. There son and daughter in-law came over too. Derek is less active and April is an investigator. We taught her a while back, but she wasn't progressing, so we haven't taught her for a couple months. Anyways, I gave the thought last night and I we had planned to talk about the gospel of jesus Christ, but that is not what came out of my mouth. I was led to a couple verses in 1 Nephi and told her that when we have the desire, we can see hear and feel what we want. Just like Nephi desired to know what his father saw in the vision. And then I told her that Heavenly Father loves us and we don't know the meaning of everything. It was powerful and I came out the appointment in awe. I love experiences like that where the spirit testifies through me and I was strengthened.-- back to president, Every time he speaks the spirit is just so strong. He told us that Elder Bednar is going to be the Apostle coming to our mission on September 11th! I am so excited! We practices a lot about beginning to teach people. It was so great! Role plays rock!! They are so awesome and the spirit is so strong in a room full of missionaries. It makes me want to be better and work so much harder when I see them all working towards their goals and they are the same as mine. It is great.
This week the work was a little slow. We don't have any solid investigators, but LOTS of potential. We find lots of people each day, but they won't keep their appointments. Tonight we have an appointment with 3 investigators. We will see how that pans out. These people are amazing!
We had a lesson on Monday night over at Bishops house. He invited Nate and Heidi Baker over for swimming, dessert and a FHE lesson taught by us :). Nate is not a member. We taught about the Restoration and I invited Nate to be baptized on sept 18th. He decline. I think my jaw dropped then. I was so devastated, but not disappointed. I still kept my head up and we talked about his concerns. He says that he has some goals to meet, and that he is not ready. He will get baptized but not that soon. It was a bummer, but we are still meeting with him and I know he will understand the importance of it.
Went on exchanges with Sister Thain, she is in the yellow shirt, me in the red. She is a sweetheart!! I went to her area in White City and Eagle Point. We spent the day near Shady cove with her Ward mission leader. We visited a lot of less actives. all in all it was a great day!!!
Just as Cedar said in his last email last week that one of the members got up and condemned the congregation for not helping, we had a similar situation. This sister spoke about missionary work. She talked about how when we have the missionaries over they never gave referrals and she felt guilty cause they weren't working with anyone. She recommitted herself and told everyone to start praying cause when we seek we find, we need to act on the things that we are asking. It was great.
We played soccer this morning with the Elders. It was so much fun!! I have missed playing since being here. My ankle is finally feeling better and it didn't hurt me too bad when I played.
I want you all to know how much I love and appreciate all that you do for me. Keep up the good work!! I hope that school has finally settled in and that the weeks are great! I know without a doubt that when we honestly want a new talent or ability or an answer to a prayer we can ask, it will be granted to us. Have faith, be strong and of a good courage. The Lord is there always. :)

Love Sister Glasgow

Can't wait to write and tell you where I will be... kinda nervous, but it will be a great new exciting experience... it always is :)

Hello Family and Friends!!
I miss and love you all!! How is everyone doing?? I hope your summer was great and good luck to all those going back to school... glad I don't have to do that right now :) Sorry if this letter is a little boring our short, but I usually make a list of things that happens during the week so that when I come to the computer I can just type real fast all the things that happened, but I forgot my paper and planner, so I am going off of my brain :)
Where to begin......
Well we have worked so hard this week. We found so many potential investigators, but the reality is that people don't want to make commitments. It is hard to get people to church, to read, pray and meet with us a second time. I have gotten kinda frustrating cause people are so golden and solid, and then they flake. It isn't cool at all.
We taught 5 people this week and none of them came to church. 3 of them had rides and they declined when the members tried to get them. We are going to work on getting people to see the need to change. They all like what we are teaching, but they are not being driven to make any changes. It is annoying to say the least!
This week I had a great experience when we taught Kayla one of the new member lessons. I was able to feel the spirit so strong and while we were teaching I got an answer to one of my prayers. I love that the Lord works through other people. I love it even more when they say something and I hear something totally different-- it speaks to my heart.
We went to Crater Lake and the Natural Bridge again today. I love both of these places, it was beautiful. We also went to the Rogue Gorge, another beautiful lookout. Basically Oregon is awesome and green and pretty. Kayla drove us up in her new Scion!! I felt like I was home again... it was weird and cool at the same time. We went with our zone and all had a blast!!
We had a district meeting this week with the Ashland District. It was awesome!! We learned about the importance of teaching people, not lessons. I think I get so caught up in teaching and telling the information and I forget that these are people and i need to address there concerns. It was a great training and at the end they had me get up in front of all the other Elders and do a role play. My heart was pounding, but I just prayed that I would have the spirit. Wow, it was so powerful. The spirit worked right through me. I have had some of the neatest experiences when we get to practice role playing to each other. This time was no exception. I really felt as if I was teaching one of my investigators and I was happy to get the practice :)
We found a former investigator, Dean on Friday night. We went back on Sunday night and taught him about the Restoration. He likes it all, but he also doesn't want to act on what he is learning and what he knows is right. We have another appointment with him this week. Jeremy declined going to church when the member picked him up, we will see him tomorrow to settle any issues that he has. We met with Roberto and Cristina this week. They both were found separately, they are married tho. haha they are very sweet and were super interested in what we were sharing with them, but we went by last night to double check that we were still good to come over tonight and they told us that they went to a different church and that they want to stick to the Bible. Gosh, Satan is so real. Wow we were a little devastated, but we are looking forward to finding more families to teach.... we are actually teaching a family tonight in the bishops home, nate and his 4 girls. he is married to a lady in the ward, should be great!!
We have a new Ward Mission leader in the central point 1st ward!! Brother Barber is going to be awesome!! his son is the Bishop in the ward.
I am so pumped for this week!!! We have zone conference tomorrow, exchanges that day till Wednesday night( I am going to White City and Eagle Point with S. Thain), then exchanges with the central point 1st ward on thurs, fri and sat for 2 hours a day!!! I know that when things are not moving and progressing, that we just need to try different things, so that is what we are changing and it will be awesome!!!
I want you to all know that I am so happy to be here. I know that Satan is working so hard on us and doesn't want us to succeed at anything. I also know that we have a loving heavenly father that wants the best for us. He hears and answers our prayers, always!! I am so lucky to live in this time, to be here in OR and serve as a missionary!! This is the best thing I could be doing!! Take care and i will write again in a week. Oh yeah transfers are next Tuesday and Wednesday so I will know if I am staying or leaving next monday... Love ya tons and bunches :)!!!! XOXOXOXO

august 9th

This week was great! We are working with so many potential investigators, but they won't come to church! Ah man I think that is one of the most frustrating things in the whole world! Haha, they are so awesome.
We talked to a lady on Monday, her name is Valerie. She is married with 2 boys and was so sincere when she spoke with us. We talked to her for about 1 hour and a half on Monday and then set up another time on Tuesday to come back. We went on Tuesday with a member of the ward, Sister Jentzch. She was AWESOME!! Valerie is really looking for that light and truth, but she wants us to make the decision for her. She is really scared what her husband and friends and family will think if she decides to do the "mormon thing". We talked about the Restoration, prayer, the book of mormon, temples.... and the list goes on. She asked very good questions and we were blessed to answer them in a way that she could understand. She cried to us a couple times, because she knows she needs to do something more in her life, but doesn't know how to put her faith in Jesus Christ and make the leap. Ah she is great. We are seeing her again this week.
We met Jeremy on Friday afternoon. We talked for a few minutes and he invited us to come back the next day. He has made some bad decisions in his life and wants to make a change. We taught him about Heavenly Fathers love for each of us. He was so touched by the spirit and we invited him to be baptized on August 28th!! I am so excited for him. I know that as he continues to pray, read, come to church and quit some of the word of wisdom issues, he will be so much happier.
We met with Buddy- the philipino man, and he decided that he wants more time to read the book of mormon before he meets with us again. I guess the church he goes to is very anti- mormon and so Bro. Marre is going to continue to talk with him each week and discuss the things that he is learning.. he will be ready soon.
I want to tell you of a very powerful experience that I will never forget. This last week on Monday and Tuesday I was searching for things to help strengthen my testimony and my faith in Jesus Christ. I felt like I was searching for light in a dark room. I couldn't understand why I wasn't able to feel the spirit and it bothered me. Well on Wednesday we went to the temple and that definately filled up my bucket, but I was continuing to help solidify and confirm my testimony even more. So on Wednesday night at about 8pm we knocked on a house. A man came out and we started talking to him and then I just started to feel surrounded by an evil spirit and it was very disturbing. He preached and talked about wicked things happening in the world and the things that he was practicing was just down right bad. Oh wow I hated being on that doorstep. I felt like he was trying to lure us into his deceitfulness. Gosh I just wanted to run away. He just kept talking and talking and i just kept praying and praying. He started to sing to us and man that did it, I just wanted to sink down and cave in. I then started to hum I know that my redeemer lives. i don't know if he heard me, but this brought me some hope and good feelings. I tried to tune him out for the time that he was talking to us. We finally bore our testimonies and left.... we practically ran to our car. We were there for a good 45 min or so. (on the front porch) We got into the car and I was so bothered by the things that he said. I couldn't get the thoughts out of my mind. I looked at S. Longurst and we both agreed to say a prayer. She said one of the most powerful prayers I have ever heard. I felt like we were surrounded by a huge fluffy warm blanket. I knew that Heavenly Father poured out his spirit on us and we were able to be comforted. We cried for awhile and expressed our feelings of how grateful we were that we didn't have to live in the darkness and that we know that this church, the church of jesus christ of latter-day saints is true. This strengthened my testimony and was something that I didn't really want to experience in order to help build my faith, courage and testimony, but the Lord knew that this was what I needed. I am so grateful to be a member of the church. I know that this is how we can find true happiness. S. Longurst and I get a good laugh about that experience and I honestly do not remember half the things that man said. I remember the overwhelming spirit I felt after and being able to listen to the hymn I Believe in Christ on the way home that night. It turned out to be a very wonderful experience.
Last Monday we went Miniature golfing with the other Elders. Man, it reminded me of going to Golf Land to goofy golf, good times. The elders are lots of fun.... see pictures. :)
Anyways this week was good. We worked so hard in trying to find new investegators. We were diligent in talking with everyone that we saw. As a mission, we have a goal to talk to 20 people everyday... the people outside (aside from tracting) This has been great. We almost met our goal this week and we are going to strive to beat the goal this week.
I am so grateful to be here in Oregon. I hope that you have all had a wonderful summer. I know that this summer has been great for me, a little more hot and humid than I was expecting, but I guess this will help me to appreciate the rain in the next months. haha. Well I love you all!!! Have a great week!

Love Sister Glasgow XOXO

August 2nd

Hello family and friends!!!
This week was fantastic!! Kayla Shiflett was baptized on Saturday and confirmed on Sunday. It was so neat!! The Milhoan family was a do not contact family for many years, but in September the Sisters went and contacted them, they reactivated them and they had there 16 year old son, Mathew baptized. He took the New member lessons afterwards and that is when I came to Oregon. Tony, the 21 year old son and his 18 year old gf, Kayla, would sometime sit in on the lesson and so at the last lesson- Endure to the End- I decided that we needed to invite Kayla to take the lessons. She accepted and we taught her in about 3 weeks and now she is baptized. She was nervous that she was going to slip and fall down the stairs, she is almost 6 ft 4 in and the water came up to her thighs, I was scared that she would have to lay down in the water so she could go completely under, but the Lord heard our prayers and everything went great!!! Oh yeah and the best part is that Kayla was baptized by Mathew, he was baptized in November. It was a great experience for him. Her bf Tony, works on sundays, so he can't go to church yet, but he has a testimony and it has been strengthened by seeing Kayla take the lessons. So cool. She was so happy and looked great in the white gown. She was trying not to smile from ear to ear. She was so happy to know that her Heavenly Father has a plan for all of his children, including her and her family now and in the future. She has really loved learning about her Savior and how he suffered and died for her. She has had some things in the past that weren't too good, but she knows that because of the savior, we can repent and become clean of our sins. The Savior is merciful and loving. This gospel is for everyone!! It was great to see the change in her as she continued to read, pray, come to church and repent. Ah it was awesome. At the baptism I sang the song "Child of Light." The spirit was so strong and I felt my saviors love for each of us in attendance at the baptism. Awesome.
We had an apt with Leiza on Monday. We asked her what her fears, hopes and desires were. She wants to do good and be happy, but her boyfriend isn't really on teh same page as her. We had a great lesson on the Restoration. We set up another apt, but she cancelled cause she was still at the docs office, we haven't gotten a hold of her yet but plan on talking with her again this week. She is great!!
Saturday night was cool. We talked to Buddy again. He has been reading the book of mormon. He's the man from the Philippeans. Brother Marre let us have the lesson in him home and he translated from tagolac to english. What a neat experience to do this. We talked about the Restoration and he really understands. He still has a lot of questions and wants to know where all the stuff we talk about it found in the scriptures. Anyways, we have another appt with him in the Marres home on Saturday. The Marres son is betting baptized on Sunday and they invited Buddy so we are going to support and ask him if he wants to be baptized. The work is awesome!!
We had a district meeting on Thursday. It was really cool. we talked about recieving revelation from the book of Mormon. We did some role plays on teh other missionaries. Wow, those were very powerful. I was able to bear my testimony and was so overwhelmed with the spirit. I know that the book of mormon and anyone who sincerely reads and prays and wants to know if it is true will receive an answer. The spirit teaches truth and light and good things. The book of mormon is good and true. As we were having a discussion it was interesting to hear all the missionaries talk. I almost felt like we were trying to convert each other because we all just have a deep love for the scriptures and for the people we are teaching and we want everyone to know this message. This is the greatest message that anyone in the world will ever hear. We have a pretty big claim and people can know by reading and praying. Ah it is great. My testimony has been strengthened so much from reading the scriptures. I love the people and there is so much to learn.
We rode bikes this week. We have a certain amount of miles allotted each month and we were getting really low. S. Longhurst has a bike and I borrowed one from Sister and Brother Baskin (they are the ones that I live with) The bike is really small for someone as tall as me. Sister Baskin in like 5 ft tall. haha. I had the seat up all the way and it still wasn't high enough for my legs. We had some good laughs. Oh yeah and to make matters worse, the brakes didn't work too well, my shoes and my feet were my brakes. Probably not too safe, but I was praying and was blessed. I was grateful to ride a bike. I don't like doing it in a skirt that much, but it was great to be able to stop and talk to everyone that we rode past. I was nervous that my skirt would get caught in the wheel, but it actually stayed away from the wheel and I didn't have a problem. The heat got to us and we were SWEATY. Gosh my arms were dripping. Dad you will appreciate this- Do you remember when you would come home from work and you told us kids to lick your arm cause it tasted good? So we believed you and did it, well turns out it was all salty. haha, well I tested this on myself after I rode my bike. Yep it was salty. S. Longhurst and I had a good laugh about that one!! I was just being silly. It is the start of a new month and that means more miles, so we won't be on bikes for at least the next couple weeks. It was great experience.
That reminds me of a joke someone told us while we were tracting. This man said you can tell your a Mormon when you end your sentences or trials with "It was a good experience." haha how true!! I am so grateful for all the things that I have gone through. I wouldn't change them, because they are making me more happy and stronger. I have come closer to my Savior and i love being a missionary. I am so grateful to be amongst an army of missionaries. This is a great work and I love being apart of it.
Thank you all for the love and support! I love you all!!! Take care and I will hear from you next week. Oh yeah and I get to go to the Medford Temple on Wednesday!! I can't wait to go again!!!
Love Sister Glasgow XOXOXOXO

Excellent Week!!!

This week was excellent! We taught Bernice in about 4 times and she was SOOO ready. I remember she told us in a lesson "I should have done this a long time ago." She has just blossomed so much and she is so much happier. The baptism was on Saturday afternoon. It was amazing!! We invited a lot of the ward to participate in the program and so we were excited to get more people to fellowship her. Well about 5 minutes till 4 (that was when it started) we only had 4 people! Oh man I was so nervous and just prayed to heavenly father for people to remember and to come. It was a miracle, my prayers were answered. About 20 people ended up attending. We were thrilled and Bernice was so happy to see all the support and love, although crowds are not her cup of tea, she was happy. Sister Longhurst and I did a really cool intermission while she was changing. Longurst started to play the piano and talked about the Love of God, Jesus Christ, the 12 apostles and the apostacy and how God reached out in love and called a prophet on the earth to lead and guide the church today. Then she went into playing come thou font, I stood up and sang Joseph Smith's First Prayer. The arrangement works almost perfect for the wording, there is a pause in the middle of the song and so I recited Joseph Smith's First Vision. Wow. Then I continued the song ended and bore my testimony of Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon. It was powerful. Many tears were shed. Luckily I kept it together during the song. I felt the spirit testify to me and all who witnessed the baptism that it is only through proper authority that we can be baptized. That was restored back on the earth when Joseph Smith was ready and prepared. Ah it was cool. I wished we could have had some investegators attend, but we are still working hard to find new ones. Kayla Shiflett is getting baptized on Saturday!!! July 31st!! Holy cow I am so excited for her! She is 18 years old and is so solid. She loves and accepts everything that has been taught to her. Her countenance has change so much. She wasn't happy, but she has a light inside of her and she knows that this will help her get a fresh start of a great new life! We had a lesson with her on Tuesday and she brought up the fact that she got work off so she could be baptized on the 31st!!! So cool. We were at teh Milhoans house when we taught and Sister Milhoan just about flew off her chair when she heard Kayla say that. I guess that when we invited Kayla to be baptized, Sister Milhoan thought we were inviting Kayla to witness a baptism, not her own baptism!! haha it was great!! Kayla is solid, or what we would say "golden." I love this girl! i am so excited for her. Oh yeah and we talked about the spirit world and how we can perform ordinances for those who have passed on and her eyes just lit up and she was just grinning from ear to ear. Her brother committed suicide a year ago and she was questioning what would happen to him. It was great to see her qeustions answered.
We were supposed to have interviews this week, but instead we had President instruct us of the new lessons and training for missionaries. We talked about the role of the holy ghost in conversion and the role of prayer in conversion. Both were powerful. We also watched a video of some missionaries that did this, one of the missionaries was Elder Bott!!! Steve Bott from Payson!! He was a teacher in the MTC when I was there too. Holy smokes it threw me for a loop when I saw him on the TV. It was pretty cool. These trainings are already helping us. When we had the lesson about prayer we went and had a lesson with Bernice that day and when we said the closing prayer, Bernice didn't want to say it. She was really scared. It was cool to actually see my practice put into action. We helped her know what to say and she did awesome! I was tearing up when i was able to listen to the simple humble testimony and prayer that she gave. It was great! President also said something to us 4 times during our 5 hour meeting with him. He quoted Elder Oaks from the 2001 October Conference. "The intestity of our desire to share the gospel is a great indicator of the extent of our personal conversion." I have thought a lot about this. I know that this is true. So I am making a goal to be more converted. It is so true that the more we know, the more we want to share with others. *Remember that!
The other night I got off my knees when i was done praying and Sister Longhurst looked at me and said "have a good conversation with Heavenly Father?" I guess she noticed that I had a grin on my face when i was done. My reply "yep, it was great. You know what, when you pray you never feel bad, it just feels good." I have realized just how true this is!!
All in all this week has been fantastic. We are working with many potentials and our pool is filling up. I feel so blessed to be here right now. The work is starting to build and it is great to be apart of it!!
Here is a pic of Brother Bell ( he is in the bishopbric and baptized bernice, Bernice, Sister Longhurst and I) Oh yeah Sister Longhurst is great and is 5 ft tall. haha She has lived in Washington, Iowa and her parents now live in Virginia. She went to BYU for 3 years and is going to school to become a physical therapist. I know that she is here for a reason, to help me be better and to help the work progress as we teach together. It is amazing to serve with her!!!! I have felt so close to the spirit lately. I know that the Lord hears us, he is aware of our situations. We have a loving Savior and Heavenly Father. They can help us be happy, if we let them help us!! i love the gospel and am grateful to be a missionary!! Love you all!!

Love, Sister Glasgow!!
